Hey everyone,

I've just got a quick question which I hope you can answer. I've recently acquired an external monitor, speakers and keyboard/mouse for my laptop, which has turned my desk into more or less a docking station.

While I was using my laptop keyboard, I could skip to the next song in my media player (Windows Media, iTunes and Zune) by pressing Fn + Arrow, no matter which program was the active program. Important function for me, as I usually listen to music on random with my entire library, and I'm often not in the mood to listen to a bunch of songs on there.

However, since I've got another keyboard (a standard one without a Function key), I've been unable to do that.

I'm wondering if there's another shortcut that will allow me to do the same thing which I'm not aware of. I've tried Google, but it's failed me Sad so I'm posting here.

Anyone have any ideas? Silly

I know there are several plugins for firefox that allow you to configure such things. I guess similar things exist for media player.

Assuming Windows, I am not sure if there is a way to bind something else to that function. Seems the only way to do it is to handle it application by application,

Have you heard of a keyboard emulator?

I remembered reading about this when reading up about keyboard keys. I have not tried one myself, but I think you can use such program to edit what some keys on your keyboard do.

For example, you can emulate Fn on a Scroll Lock since the Scroll Lock is pretty much useless in nowadays computers.
