Nice but I feel like it could do with a small border to enclose it a little, the part where the moon is seems to open it up too much. That way it would be like a view into another idyllic world. And to be brutally honest, the craters on the moon could do with a some more work to give them more definition, although I do like the basic shapes of them which give it a nice flat but serene effect.

I actually like the first one better. It seems you are going with simplicity (posterization/pure colors) versus the complex star shapes. The second one with the tree takes away from a lot of things that were working, like the overal composition. I think that either you should try giving the crators more definition or give it none whatsoever. Just leave it white, like the bird, effectively giving some striking contrast between the bird and the moon.

We already know it's the moon because there is stars in the background. The stars are a little weird, but it works as a variety versus hamony thing. Just because they are the most defined object, and there is quite a lot of them in the picture.

To be honest, I agree with drath.. The first one is a lot better than the second.

I agree with drath, I like the first one better, you can see the bird more clearly, even though it has a white fading outline. I really like them!

Is there a lot difference between CS2 and CS3 BETA then? I haven't downloaded CS3 BETA yet, I may do, depends. How long have you been working with Photoshop?

Nice art work! Smile

Umm, not a whole lot different. The interface is alot better in my opinion you can fold the menus and all that kind of stuff. Download it off adobe.com and check it out for yourself Smile

And I've been using photoshop about a year or so. I used Paint Shop Pro and The GIMP aswell.
