Actually, seeing this after the finished peice, I have to say: I like these ones a lot better. I mean, the weird things are still visible in these, but it doesn't cripple the image as badly. These are very nice on their own.

The only thing that looks odd to me is the cheek, the bone seems to stick out much and i'm drawn to that before looking at the rest of the image
