Theres nothing wrong with the above really it would just have do crack down on smart arses correcting every single spelling mistake. And rejecting certain users comments, footy related or not just because they aren't as respected or have posted rubbish in the past!

Ive been onto Trel a few times through PMs, but he has stopped responding.

Ive asked on the phpbb forums about trying to fix it, but we need access to the Cpanel and FTP if we want to change anything. http://www.phpbb.com/community.....p;t=594879

There is litterally nothing i can do unless i can access the ftp and cPanel

Would any staff member be able to fix this?

Why not just start it from scratch - surely you can read all the negative comments from people in here - people who have supported and carried YOUR site for the past few years.

Except Kidley, he's been slowly eroding it from the inside with his secret PM "Your Momma" jokes.

Open a support ticket. Don't PM him here.

He resolves all hosting issues at the helpdesk.

I am currently talking to him about my issue at the helpdesk.

Yea, they want me to sign it over to them for free, because they think its their intellectual property

I opened Support Tickets before, but Trel says only he can deal with it and to contact him

Have you thought about re-branding the site? They'll probably still want the URL, but they'll have no right to pursue the community.

Very rarely do institutions go after fansites, unless one of two things happen: 1)Their name is being tarnished, 2) The fansite is doing something the institution wants to do... like create a feedback community based on their show.

I'm leaning towards the latter. A community is already established, why go through the work of establishing a new one? This is already done with a lot of non-live television shows, where the parent company of the show (instead of starting from scratch) flexes their muscles and steals a community.
