On top of that, I would like to ask how can I convert avi files to VCDs playable on a normal VCD player. I hope you guys are not giggling as I asked such a simple question. The problem is I have not done all this at all. Appreciate any help, thanks.

This is incredibly hard to do, it is definitely not a simple question! Well, it isn't hard technically, but finding the tool to do it is a pain. I suppose it's no problem if you are willing to pay for such software but I couldn't find anything through SourceForge, asking on a discussion board or two and other sites as well as many google searches. The closest I found was a trial of something called WinAVI or something like that. I remember there being a problem though, maybe the trial version had a size limit.

Funnily enough, a few days after I needed this and had given up looking, I had installed Linux and found what I needed and got it installed and encoding my AVI file in less than 15 minutes. If you are interested, I used ToVid which is a GUI for all the utilities needed.

That will add a watermark if you don't pay for it.

Do a Google search on "convert AVI to DVD".

For VCD, use "convert AVI to DAT".

If you want to make a DVD or VCD, use Nero Vision. It will automatically convert your AVI files when burning.

Embarassed I haven't used that software before, but I believe there are tons of such cracked programs you can get from internet. Wink

That software isn't even good.

You can get better alternatives, even if it is cracked.
