Mostly basic stuff, I'd say. Not quite the nowadays popular Web 2.0 sleek and shiny, but not bad either. I'd like to see how they integrate with a website.

By the way, my favorite is the first one, I really like the elegance and contrast of it.

thanks, ye there not really sleek and shiny, i work old school.

Basicly they are used in the header or another logo type thing for sites, e.g. the one you liked, the first one was used on a site that ran php-fusion and it just had that in the welcome message on the home page, worked very well.

I actually really like what you did with them. They are all really good and I think that you have got a talent. It is not the kind of over the top graphic work that you see in a lot of graphic artists, but rather it is more of a muted simplicity that you have to them and I like them. Probably my favorite one of the graphics that you have shared with us is the first one. I don't know what it is about that particular graphic, but it is very clear and concise and has a really clean look to it. I like when graphics have clear text and you have accomplished that. Even the flaming text that you have looks very well done. I think you have done some great work and hopefully you will share more of your creations with us in the future. Nice job with these flaming-ace! Thanks for sharing these.

Numbers 6 and 7 are definately the strongest. Here's my in-depth critique for you:

1) Black Dash - This type of image is kind of getting overdone everywhere I look. The silhouette of a cityscape-buildingscape is everywhere you look now. The only thing is missing in your version is that it actually isn't live traced in illustrator and it doesn't have any grunge effects applied to it. It seems to be just posterized in photoshop or something. The type isn't anything spectacular either. The text feels a little too squished.

2) Flaming Ace - This flaming text treatment is probably more overdone than the silhouette thing. It's also very dated and actually can be created very simply with a couple of filters, or even certain websites will generate them automatically.

3) Game Zone - Although I like the departure from the cliche flaming text on "Flaming Ace", this is kind of boring or unrelative. What I mean is "Flaming Ace" should probably be envoked with imagery that is hot... like fire, just in a different way then the second image. Other than that it's okay.

4) High Voltage - This seemed a little weird too me. Nothing about this says "High Voltage". What people would normally associate with high voltage is usually lightning bolt with yellow and red text treatment -- Google "High Voltage" to see what I mean. it just seems like random text on a random background to me.

5) Swift Cyber - The text is way too squished again, it needs more room to breath in the image. The main computer image looks like ice and is normally associated with cold or slow. The reason I bring this up is because you are promoting something that is "Swift". Nothing about this image says that too me at all. Also, the background is just plasma noise...

6) This one is doing pretty good in terms of stylistic means. The color, the type treatment are working fairly well.

7) This one is probably the best out of the these, actually I can say it most definately is. This one has originality, creativity, and it's personalized more than anything else shown here. That alone seperates it from the rest. Although I could do without the giant windows logo (just seems awkwardly placed) this one is very cool. The aspect of animation also gives it that much more visual appeal.

In general I feel that with your logos the text seems like it was just placed on top of the image, not really made a part of the image. I mean, it was like you created the image, and then just typed the text in, not really choosing fonts and styles to make it blend with the graphic. But, overall, good job!

Thanks so much that gave me a lot of feedback and was a lot of help!
Oh and about the High Voltage one, that was a logo/banner type thing i made for my videos web site, High Voltage Videos. I saw a sign saying high voltage (much like the ones you'll find if you google it) but it had that red and white tape all around that area, so it kinda inspired me to make that.

Kind of what I was thinking aswell. But I think there was some exceptions to this, including number 6 and 7.

No problem. I try to critique a little more in-depth than everybody else to give my insight. Stick around and post somemore when you have them.

I like your sigs, you have some potential but you still have to learn how to use better some tools of photoshop.

My favourite one is the first, very simplistic but nice, I really like it.

Also the barn one is really cool, I like the dar tones you gave it, it looks really creepy.

Congratulations Liam and keep the good work,

Raymon
