Today, over AIM, someone threatened to hack me. He said my website was in danger! Basically I'm scared! They said that Wna.com.ru would no longer belong to me when the clock strikes midnight.
What should I do?! _________________ No websites, No Job, No funny quote to insert here? My Signature is rather boring. |

I doubt there is much they can do to your site. LLP is really tight on security, so unless you have easy to exploit scripts, I doubt they can do anything.
Most people who go around saying they are going to hack people are just trying to scare people. If they had the ability to do it they would do it. _________________ TutorialToday |

Hacked?
Only a man's picture on your site and the background music is terrible. |

ha i think he was being sarcastic because its funny when noobs pretend to be hackers online.
I bet LLP hosting is actually pretty hard to hack since alot of the things we should be able to do gives us errors, so i think you'll be just fine.
By the way, i'm not being sarcastic about the errors. i love the hosting, and there are ways to resolve the errors so im not putting llp down. Just sayin.. _________________

Then please, do explain as to why my website is like it is and why I can't access my cPanel account. Be it a legit "hack" or not, I got ****. _________________ No websites, No Job, No funny quote to insert here? My Signature is rather boring. |

Either that or some social engineering, do you know the guy personally? If it was a Wordpress exploit, how would the guy get access to change the password? And please don't tell me you use the same password for your MySQL database / WordPress account as you do for CPanel
Got any ideas considering the time it may take Trel to get around to this? I'd probably be switching nameservers to another host until this gets sorted out.
Oh, and +1 for custom scripts. |

wow sorry for joking then. I really thought that you were as well, guess not.
Michael Moore? ha.
anyways there is a mp3 file in the source code linked to http://home.rochester.rr.com/slothrop which has files in it, so maybe if you just do some searching in those files along with a member search of him AIM identity you could find out who it is. if that is his free hosting account then there are word files which include hidden meta info such as his username and stuff on windows. Thats actually how they found out who the BTK killer
Sorry that i over estimated all the security stuff LLP has. Didn't think this would be possible really.
I don't think that its a wordpress exploit because the guy uploaded some of his own images. So he actually got into cpanel and all that. Unless as krt said. you used your default cpanel password for your mysql database.
The whois info says Trel still owns the domain, and its all pointing to L2p servers. _________________

OH TREL'S GOT JOKES!
But yeah, I should imagine it was a result of social engineering. |

I told you to stop doing that Branden!
By the way, Can I have you Gmail password in exchange for a Snickers Bar? _________________

Btw, Can I have you Gmail password in exchange for a Snickers Bar? |
That's more realistic than challenging Trel or Xore for a game of chess, the chance you'll win that is rather low it seems. _________________ Dilly dally, shilly shally. |

M0ose hasn't updated the post so I'll update everyone.
This was a joke that M0ose wanted to play. He sent me a message telling me what was going on so I decided to play along.
The security at L2P was not breached and M0ose's website was not hacked. _________________ What would you like to see at L2P? We want your suggestions!
