I can see how it'd be a big game though Silly

Starcraft 1 was the best RTS ever made, with 3 totally different sides to play and yet they were all perfectly balanced. No side is better than the other, it's all pure tactics Smile .

Even though I am totally exited about Starcraft 2 coming, I probably won't be able to play it right away when it comes out. I'll need a new computer for that first and I don't know when that's coming Smile .

Starcraft is one of the best Real Time Strategy games, but I still prefer Empire Earth over it. Starcraft II just seems to be the exact same as the first with a small amount of upgraded graphics. Sequels to games usually fail to live up to the first one. An example of this would be Empire Earth II and III, both of those games were total let downs. I just hope this game turns out to be a masterpiece, since I desire a challenging game of strategy.

I agree that most sequels don't live up to the original, but don't forget that we're talking about Blizzard here. And by that I mean: Warcraft III and Diablo II, both sequels and both better than the games that came before them (in my opinion).

I'm pretty sure that Starcraft II will be great, even if they didn't make any big changes.

Yeah I agree with you. Blizzard does a good job updating their games. I just cant wait for the game to come out so I can play it, especially Diablo III.

Starcraft... there lies good memories. IT is an absolute essential must, that all true strategy gamers have played the original Starcraft at least once in their lives. That is not only a classic, but still one of the biggest games online. Still extremely popular worldwide, although mostly in Asian regions (hint hint Korea), where you can watch top-players battling on television constantly.

Amazingly, although im waiting for Starcraft II to come out, I'm not as hyped as I was when they first announced it. Although i'm pretty sure they won't mess up the sequel, what i am afraid yet curious about is if the sequel will live up to the original in popularity and greatness. I really don't think this sequel will be near as popular, but I do think it will be a success, considering Blizzard games, and sequels especially have a long history of doing extremely well.
