Has anyone heard much about this?

I have only seen one small article in a Newspaper saying George Lucas is going to do one based on characters that are not in the movies, but still in that Universe.

I think this could be very cool, and also very very succesful.

BUt, since I've only seen that little bit, i'm not above scepticism yet.

Anyone else seen it? Anyone else have thoughts on it?

Not quite.

The TV show is a live action series (meaning: real actors).

The story is about the events that take place between episodes 3 and 4, with Darth Vader hunting down the last of the remaining Jedi, one by one.

The story will focus on one Jedi in particular, who is already known in the Star Wars books to die right before A New Hope.

It sounds like it would be quite interesting considering that the series in itself has always been something that I have loved from when I was a child. I wonder if something like that would be on like a Sci-Fi channel or where they would put something like that up if they wound up making a weekly series. Or if it would just be something that was straight onto the DVD market. It would be interesting to see where they go with it and how it takes off. I am sure there would be enough interest for the series if they are able to get good writing and a good cast to back it up.

Considering the success of the books and comics, I am actuall surprised it has taken this long to get to it . . . .

Now, I have not read the comics for a long time, so perhaps the characters I mention are already spoken for, so to speak, but there are a few that would be interesting, such as The Dark Woman (although, the mystery surrounding her is what makes her interesting), or the dude with dreadlocks, I can't for the life of me remember his name, at one point he was feigning going to the dark side so he could work undercover, and he had a twi-lek padawan.

wish I could remember his name.

And a non-humanoid as the main character would be cool too.

I heard about a Star Wars series too, right after Episode III was released, but I haven't heard anything about it after that.

In my opinion, a Star Wars series could be one of the best things ever shown on TV, if it's made well. I could as well be one of the worst things ever made if they mess it up.

I love Star Wars so I'm hoping that they'll make an awesome series, if they're making one, and I'm hoping with all my heart they will, I don't want the Star Wars universe to end just yet Very Happy

Koffi Arana?

There's a rather long list of Order 66 survivors (long as in 25-30), it could be one of them.

Nope, Quinlan Vos

I think he would be cool - he was presumed dead after order 66, but he survived, and his whereabouts are unknown, but he is rumoured to have met a young Han Solo . . . . [/url]

yup, that exactly.

I like the precedent set by the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles etc, since it goes to show that Lucas is definatley up for making TV, and his standards are just as high (ie he likes them to look movie quality).

400 shows would be very very good. Interesting that Boba Fett is listed as a possible character, too.

On another note, how good is wookiepedia - obviously it is utilising wiki technology, but it is a lot more consistent (something that comes from being more focused), and the moderation is very good too. Great site.
