I know I can't be the only one tired of new users coming here, and resurrecting month (or even older) topics. Dead topics should stay dead, period.

After a month of inactivity in the topic, it should be locked to prevent disruptive resurrection. It's easy to make a topic, so resurrecting shouldn't be going on. If a month is too short, then two months then a lock.

The forums need activity, but resurrecting shouldn't be the way to do it.

Has already been done. Ask a mod.

I report the posts when I see them, but many times admins don't seem to do anything. I realize admins can't be active all the time, but this resurrecting nonsense needs to end.

Did you read what ClickFanatic said? And I'm sure mods have better things to do than investigate these claims. Besides, threads are automatically closed after a week or two so I don't know which threads you are talking about. The only times "dead" threads are "resurrected" are by request. I for one do not notice any of this and can not see any bad in it. Many times, it is not worth the effort of structuring your post as a thread starter, so continuing an old discussion only promotes activity. I don't see it being disruptive especially considering the lack of topics.

Just about a month ago or something all old threads were closed, so most threads aren't that old.

Next to that, if anyone apparently had something to add to the threads, what exactly is the problem? It might actually be quite interesting to keep topics alive with new views and facts on the matter.

See here: http://www.lifelesspeople.com/.....m.php?f=32, threads from October 16 and up are still open.

Hip Hideaway, here: http://www.lifelesspeople.com/.....hp?t=46792 Almost 2 months, then it was resurrected.

and here: http://www.lifelesspeople.com/.....hp?t=46829. Over a month and it was resurrected.

Next time, don't assume all threads are automatically closed in a few weeks.

I don't see it as helpful, as people can make any topic they want. Why sift through the old ones and resurrect them? By that logic, any topic from the start of the forums should stay alive because people would have new views on them.

Lack of topics shouldn't be an issue, there is plenty of things to talk about. If people don't want to discuss things, then perhaps this isn't the place for them.

Dude, what's with the tone? I didn't assume anything. Besides, it would help if you didn't choose examples that were "resurrected" by the same member who is soon to be banned (or so I think).

See above.

He meant topics as in threads, not topics as in subjects to discuss. Most members here don't seem to bother with creating their own threads (unless it is to rant Silly)
