|

When we enter any area of lifelesspeople forums, i.e main forums sub topic(for e.g. entering lan party lair, or entering our oratory), we do not have options of sorting by topic, or replies, or last posted...
What we can do is, give a hyperlink to headings (replies, last post, topics, etc) which occur in a tabular form.
Owners/Mods/members, hoping to hear a reply to my suggestion from you guys... |

| Doubt it will happen and it has little use (reply count is probably the only other practical field to sort). Search is as close as you will get (but even that, surprisingly, does not have a "sort by replies" option). |

yes
sort by replies
sort by last post
are two good sorting techniques, which i think is good to be implemented.
Just think about it, how often you need to sort the messages by replies or by last post...isnt it helpful? |

| Messages are already sorted by last post. That's why I said the only other practical one is replies. But then again, when would you want to do that? I have no need to see which threads have had the most replies. Of course, if phpBB used a better template engine, many things like this would be implemented, but until then, I don't think it is enough of an issue that requires a fix. |

Moreover, since phpBB 3.0 will be out fairly soon, Trel has said that there will be no other mods installed on LLP since it's released, for practical reasons. _________________ It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

| Does that still apply? I think the release date of phpBB3 was not expected to be as late as it was, I remember that comment being made a very long time ago (as in when I joined) |

I find the current display okay, because I like it being sort for new replies. _________________ 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208998628034825342

Is there a way to do a search for posts made in the last day, like occurs on invisionfree forums?
I find i sometimes have issues with my browser crashing soon after i load up, and since llp is one of my home pages, the "post since last visit" is reset, because i just visited for a microsecond before losing the browser.
If there was an option so have a link for threads with posts made in the last day, that would be handy. _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!
