Most every electronic music falls under the mother genre of EDM or Electronic Dance music. From there they break down into subcategories based on sound and BPM or Beats Per Minute. There is a major difference in sounds and BPM when it comes to comparing Techno, Dance, House, Rave, Drum & Bass, and etc. |
Okay, I can take that. Thanks for the lecture. _________________ I talk to the rain |

Why did you want me to look at this?
It only has a very vague link to reggaetón if that is why you wanted me to look at it (and because it mentions white MCs). MCs and rappers are different anyway, in case you didn't know. |

It was just the fact that you dig that kind of stuff in a way. Plus, I figured you might like it.
Also, you're welcome Lyth. Glad I could be of service. _________________

So does anyone have any youtube links of whats actually considered techno? And that can be used as an example? because i still have the impression that dance remixes are techno, ha.
If i search youtube for techno i come up with things that sound just like the dance remixes also.
In the first matrix movie he listened to music in his headphones while at the computer, that was techno right? and at that rave party Neo went to to follow the white rabbit? _________________ http://www.snapcite.com | Are you a music Junkie? if so check out the Music Junkie Ground Zero - > http://www.MJGZ.com |

The music in the club scene was Rob Zombie - Dragula, if I remeber right, and that song was a hit off of Rob's cd of Hellbilly Deluxe. Which is not techno.
Also, by any standards, no one give two shizzits or a fizuck about the actual genre's of music. Techno to all but those who care is anything electronically infused. So don't worry to much about it. No one really cares... Except for me.
I'm not much of a techno person, so bear with me, as I am a trance man, but Wikipedia has some artists for you to look into. However, if you are just looking for some electronic sounding artists that can be considered techno, just go for anything people label as such.

Alot of people care about the "genre" of music. Such as almost everyone i know can't stand that emo punkish stuff, so thats a t ype of music that someone obviously cares about.
I wasn't only talking about that scene in the movie. As when he is on his pc at the very beginning. That has to be techno. _________________ http://www.snapcite.com | Are you a music Junkie? if so check out the Music Junkie Ground Zero - > http://www.MJGZ.com |

I wasn't talking about punk and such. I meant that no one really cares about the different genres of electronic music.
Also I'm not sure about the opening of the matrix, I'd have to look into it for you. _________________
