Ok so far me and a few million others think MAPLESTORY ROCKS 
Ok my point is alot of people will strongly disagree(SOOO dumb to do)
if i had no consequences id beat the crap out of anyone who said runescape, tales of pirates, world of warcraft or anyof that junk was better than MapleStory
Lol i bet 5 outta 10 of u reading this say world of warcraft is great
(EWWW HOW WRONG YOU ARE)
Lol anway about life in MARDIA BECUZ MARDIA ROCKS
Synergy to me is the #1 most defamable guild except for 2 members

Hey man, it's Psy!
I just sold a 60% ATK scroll for dagger for a cool 1mil! I'm damn happy.
There have to be at least a few maplers here. If anybody plays mardia we should party up!

I have to strongly disagree with you...first of I like that Maple Story is MMORPG, BUT (yes, a BIG BUT) I is pretty lame do to it being very childish looking, young kids swarm the game, not much fun in it, 2D, and not much "hardcore" is in it 
For it being the "awesomest" that is just WRONG in my opinion...I would have to say that Linage 2 or somethign of that sort are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better them than this little childish game... |

I've got a few characters on Mardia. I don't remember their names. The highest level I got to was thirty something assassin, then I just got too tired of the grind.

I disagree. I think great looking graphics does not make the game bad. And it really is a "hardcore" game because you have to spend hundreds of hours grinding in the later levels.

Well, everyone has their opinions, due to no one being EXACTLY the same :\ Which would be actually boring if everyone did...hmm...oh well w.e... |

I've played this game for a while and it isn't that good in my opinion. It is quite original because of the way it looks but it's nothing more than grinding, grinding and grinding. The fun goes away pretty quick after killing the same monster over and over again. Don't get me wrong a lot of MMORPGs have the same problem.
I just don't understand how constant grinding can keep you playing a game for months. I do agree that most of these games are fun for a while, too bad the fun gets lost after maximum a month of playing.

| MapleStory is fun 3rd job CB Hermit Dragon Knight Crusader PRiest Fire/Poison Mage Ice Mage Ranger and sniper are really fun but u have to get to like lvl 70 and 4th job ice and fire are AWESOME because of Meteo and Blizzard because its a full screen demolition and unless the attack doesnt hit high enough its power WILL obliterate EVERYthing on that screen and dk's are awesome because their attacks look cool, cb's because of meso explosion, hermits because of Avenger, Rangers and snipers because that kill alot at once:D and btw im lvl 65 atm and used to have a lvl 31 hunter and 31 cleric but deleted now 22 rogue(soon2b dit) and lvl 23 magician(soon to follow my dad and uncles firey mage path!) |

| I've played this a few times and I've loved it until I got bored of it. Thinking of starting it again soon. Not sure what to make this time. I really appreciate the graphics because although it is 2D, its well made. |

Whoa! Firstly, I think your definition of hardcore is very different from others. For example, my idea of hardcore is intense or bursts of excitation. Hundreds of hours "grinding" is almost the opposite of that.
To all you sad souls wasting your youth on these games but can't get off them, replace the word "experience" with "time wasted" as they are basically the same. My brother would retort that there are "skillful" ways to get experience faster but that doesn't seem to be making much difference after days of doing what looks to be the same thing.
Am I missing something? What gets you people going in the game? Interestingly, the people who play this would be reluctant to play single player versions, is this because the only motivation is to beat your friends by getting more experience (aka spending more time on it)? |
