I am really excited that we are finally inching our way to the release of Prince Caspian. I loved the books as a child and I think The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was an awesome adaption of the book. Here is a behind-the-scenes feature for the film.

I loved all the Narnia books, and I'm sure the movie will be good as well.

I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD. I enjoyed the Narnia books, but they're not really up there on my list of books to see movie adaptations of.

I saw a trailer for this on my kids' dvd of "Enchanted".

It looks absolutely fantastic!

Like Lumberg, i adored the Narnia books when i was younger, and even bought the boxed set a few years ago, for my son. But i sat and read them all over again before he even got the chance to look at them!

The Magician's Nephew would make a good film too imo!

I didn't find out til a wee while ago that CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien were very good friends - which, in hindsight, has always been there for all to see, in their writing styles.

Really? I think the CGI and graphics are so awesome that it is meant to be seen on the big screen. When I saw LWW, seeing it in the theater made a world of a difference, in my opinion. Hopefully we see more animation and clips when Disney is at the panel discussion at Comic Con in NYC this weekend. Is anyone checking it out? I wish I could!

I can't wait either, I love that book. The one I'm really excited about is "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader", if that one gets made. That's my favourite. With graphics being so much better now, they'd make a great dragon for Eustace!

Seren-- I read through various articles recapping the Comic Con convention in NYC that Disney will definitely be making the third installment of this series. I also read a few weeks or a month back that Ben Barnes is already on board for the 3rd film too and that he can't wait to start filming it. I am excited, cause having the same cast makes the series even better. Talk about "graphics being so much better now"...check http://youtube.com/watch?v=Jf-4aHlHTrg out for amazing scenes. Seriously, amazing.

I don't really understand how you can see that Tolkien and Lewis were good friends because of their writing styles. In my honest opinion the style of Tolkien is a lot more sophisticated and more detailed than the style of Lewis. Lewis his books are rather simple, fairy tales really, while Tolkien has written High Fantasy. Question

I am exited about the movie though, I enjoyed the first movie and I'm hoping that the quality of the movies will improve. I've seen the trailers and it looks awesome, but over the years I've learned that you should never trust a trailer. Smile

Narnia is great. I hope the screen adoption will also be the great one. The first one was also great.

I really believe the first movie was a wonderful adaption of the first book. I think the trailers have easily proved that this is going to be such an amazing and talked about movie this summer. The posters I have seen have also been awesome, I can't help but have high expectations! We will see when it comes out next Friday. I already have tickets that I purchased in advance.

The true first book in the series isn't Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. It's actually The Magician's Nephew. CS Lewis even has a note about this in the start of each of the books (in the versions I have at least).

I believe they wont be making all books in the series into movies, however some of the movies might include parts of other books (from what I've heard).

The main four children don't have big roles in all the books, so I think they will probably twist the story around so they are the lead roles in the movie versions. There is 7 total books, so my guess is they will condense it to 4 or 5 movies. Perhaps they will do all, but I'm not counting on it.

Rob1981 -- I saw the movie last night and I hope for your sake and mine, the continue to make all 7 in the series. I really enjoyed the movie. I thought the cast worked so well together and Ben Barnes was cast perfectly for the role of Prince Caspian. He fit in really well. I did read an article somewhere saying that he has already signed on for the 3rd installment. I will take it movie by movie, but this one was awesome! Def. recommend it. Surprised
