The Number 23

Has anyone else seen it? I saw it a few nights ago and I'll be honest, I'm really surprised that I liked it as much as I did. It's obviously an attempt from Jim Carrey to redefine himself in the movie business and he did a fantastic job in my opinion. However, it hasn't been getting all that great of reviews, so I'm curious to see what others thought about it.

Me and my girlfriend rae going to go see it tommorrow, but from the trailer it looks good. I did check out some reviews and people were bashing it, but I don't know why. It doesn't look bad though, so I hope I like it.

I have not seen it yet, but I have seen a lot of photos from the film at this point. It looks like it is certainly a different kind of film for Jim Carrey, but at the same time it sounds like he had a lot of fun doing it. I probably will not see it until it comes out on DVD or on the television, but it does look like it will be an interesting movie.

I just saw it yesterday and I give it 2 thumbs up. Brilliant story, great acting, terrific plot. When it hits DVD I'm going to buy it. I was really skeptic at first because I didn't know if Jim Carrey was going to be able to pull off anything but pure comedy films, but it seems that he's a great actor all around.

The fact that some people gave it crappy rating suprises me. I didn't find one bad thing about the film (well a few small things bothered me but nothing major). I just think that Jim Carrey has that reputation for funny "silly" films and it was just a big transistion to see him in something besides a comedy which may have bothered people.

I fully recommend the movie to everyone who likes thrillers, mysteries, or any of the sort.

It's always really interesting to see this comic actors play real dramatic serious roles. I remember it was odd when Robin Williams was in INSOMNIA with Al Pachino, but he did a good job also. RV was pretty serious an dramatic also Silly

I'll see it when it comes out on DVD though. It'll only be a month or so until that happens. The way things are going. hehe

i've always had a thing about the number 37, i dont know why - clocks just always seem to be at 37 minutes past the hour when i look at them! its strange! i want to see how he links the number 23 into his life, to see if 37 works for me!

It is an interesting movie. A little complicated but yet fascinating. However the ending wasn't that nice. There is always room for improvements Wink

That plot twist at the end (spoilers) was just not what I was expecting but it was good. I suppose all things considered I should have seen it coming but I didn't

I can honestly tell you why it has bad reviews. The previews lead you to believe it will be an entirely different movie. You think that it has something to do with satanic possesion along the lines of lost souls. However, it turns out to be just about a mentally ill person. It was a good plot, mind you. Just not what you were lead to believe it would be about.

The film wasn't as good as I anticipated, still a good film but its a bit like "meh". I was waiting for some kind of massive conspiracy, but the guy just got a bit cracked up in the head.

It is a different type of movie and most of the people like this very much. I haven't seen this movie but in the coming week i'll definitely see the movie.
