Hey, you might have known this, you might have not, but...

Instead of putting stars around the "Posts in this forum do not count toward your post count", you can do this:

Posts in this forum do not count toward your post count.

This will make that text red. To change the color, you just have to change the part that says 'color:red' to whatever color you want. Smile

Enjoy. Smile

I'm pretty sure, Trel, with all his years of web hosting and web administration experience is well aware of this, but making the text red will not go with the style of the forum since it purposely uses quite dull colors to give the effect of being lifeless.

I don't think it matters because whether you read it or not, your posts are simply not counted.

We don't need red text in the forum descriptions. If people don't care to read the rules/descriptions of things, then they don't deserve to have specifics highlighted for them.

Asking questions is a different matter, of course.

1. When providing technical details, do it right! (inline CSS is usually for newbies)
2. Try it, look how ugly it looks with it
3. The asterisks are good, they show emphasis without unnecessarily bolding the text

 1. It's actually "do not count towards your PBPP total, not post count.
 2. Instead of making it red, add "and post count".

Has it occurred to anyone that this might be a phpBB limitation regarding forum descriptions? Rolling Eyes

It isn't. I never used colored forum descriptions, but I just tried it, and it does work.

I'd hate to say this, but this discussion is a tad bit trivial.
