|
|
I haven't really been working on this script and it has been a while since I have mentioned it. Although a few weeks ago I felt like looking it over again and it was basically finished, I just needed to pack it up and set up an installer and other little fixes. Now it is ready to release but I haven't really been in any rush to set up a site for it or a forum for an official release, I have been kind of busy (with Call of Duty 4... I can't stop playing it).
So anyways, I am just offering a download link here for now, for anyone who is interested. I would really appreciate and comments, suggestions, bugs etc.

I am hoping to set up an official site sometime over the Christmas break, but feel free to spread it, modify it however you want, it is released under the GNU license.
If you don't know what I'm talking about or just want to see how it looks, a demo is here:

and a quick snapshot of the admin panel:

I think this is the first open-source CMS for a tutorial site. Maybe it's not, but it's the first that has come to my attention.
It looks very nice. I will have a look at the code in a few days (Christmas holidays) to see whether I like it. _________________ Captain Jell-O Buster from the Future

Em, perhaps I didn't read carefully enough, but what exactly this script do? Is it some kind of an engine or something? |

Nice, don't really have much to comment one as the system is fairly simple. The submit routine could be a bit more intuitive and there should be a "new category" option, particularly for new sites.
Apart from that, it looks very nice, I think I mentioned last time that the only problem was that it was a bit too generic but that was the look you were after so not much to comment on about the interface either.
Maybe those separator lines could be thinner. The appearance is very subtle so the lines look bold and stand out too much if you ask me. Good luck with the script. |
