Twelve and more lines of post and i get just .2,.3 points

Has there been any change in the points system or is it an error. I was making posts today and all was fine but just as i was 20 odd points hort to my 400 something strange started happening. I am getting just about .2, to .3 points for 12 13 line posts which normally give me about 10 points. Is there something i am missing.

You can only receive so many points in a certain amount of time. I don't remember the exact details, but you'll be fine.

After you reach the maximum quote you'll only get .1 or whatever for each post. i think this is in a 24 hour period. So goto sleep and wake up and you should be able to earn points again.

I believe this was created to prevent mass spamming Very Happy

Turns out that if the members have to come back each day to post to get their points, the community stays more active and productive. and less spammed. I like it.

Guess you areright buddy. I too realise that its always better to come back regularly and do the posting but somehow everytime it gets messed up. Anyways thaks for the answer. I got really alarmed.

yeah, it is not more than 100bp, because i regularly get over 100 points in one day

But i never make 50 posts in a day - there are never that many active threads going.

50 posts in 24 hours = bad salary.
It takes another 24 hours to recover.

The effect expires the moment you have less than 50 posts made in the last 24 hours.

If count(posts) where post_time > current_time - 24*HOUR, you get the ganked rate. This is to say that each post has its own "timer" as far as counting towards this effect.
