Hello, I just opened my website for selling used golf balls. I am starting to kick off my business. I want your feedback. Please check out my website at:
http://www.norcalgolfballs.com

I am selling used golf balls of all sorts of brands. If you are a golfer and hate paying retail for your golf balls this site could be for you.

For the others that arnt, I would still enjoy the feedback. How can I make this website better for my targeted audience?

This is the first website I have taken seriously and I hope to profit as well.

Thanks a lot guys
Ian

I just checked out your website. I don't know much about golf or golf balls, but I like what I see. I mean, the website is well-structured, easy to navigate and contains a lot of information.

I like what you are starting to build and I wish you good luck, hope you will succeed. Wink

My only crit. is that the website is made for users with small resolutions and of a fixed width and is also left positioned. For people who have large resolutions like me it looks very out or place. Rather than making the design fluid or larger though, you could just center the website and make the background color that lime green type color you have used in the design. Hope you understand what I mean.

That's true... I read and checked the whole site and this is the only "problem" I find.

Just "center" the whole page/site and put the green color as the background instead of this white space at the right of the site.

Remember: a lot of people/users have now large resolutions (just look all the "laptops" screen) and your site is not created for them. When you "center" the site, if the people have low resolution also the site will be on the center of screen and in a good size...

In general, good site... just wait for the people and try to put more content...

The site's good. Clean layout thru-out. And simplistic in it's design which allows for easy navigation.
And i only have one little issue with it. It's ..ummmm....how do i say it .
Very Green. Lots of green..
Not that i'm not seeing the relevance and importance of green as it ties in with the whole sport of golf. It's just that I believe that maybe a little blue/baby blue here and there wouldn't be bad. Or a splash of any other colour just a little not much.
Just so that the green stands out a bit more as there would be a bit more contrast to work with.

Just sayin....

Wow, Thanks a lot I will get to work on putting some more blue possibly in the banner with some animation along with centering the page.

Its not the first time I got the request to center the page so oviosly there is a problem with it and I will center it..

thanks a lot

I noticed it is centered now, which looks much better, but the white background is still overwhelming and should be changed to the lime green you have used in the theme (#90C81D) so it looks as if it is part of the overall design. However, having viewed your website with some slight alterations to the CSS to make the background green, it now looks as if a border round the body is needed to make it appear less vast. This could require a quite a lot of work, but it is your site so you have final say, no matter what.

I tryed to make the bgcolor the color of the site but I was having some complications and for some reason it wouldn't change. Im going to get to work and try to figure out why it wasnt changing and putting a border around the whole page wont be hard at all for me its just as easy as adding a border tag in my table.

Check back in a bit, it might be changed. Thanks a lot

PS: I am also working on desiging and coding a different section to the website that will aim for more traffic to both of the sights. I will make a website that will train golfers I guess just articles and movies that show people how to golf. I guess I could call it tips. Hopfully this will be a great contribution to my website.

Have a nice day.

To make your background green just add this to your css:

Code:
* { background: #90C81D; }

And I was actually talking about an image border... but I guess a pixel border would be OK.

ya, that whats I thought u meant when you said it might be hard to add a border. I was thinking you meant image, however adding a pixel border is a lot easiar.

I actually got the background to change color withing just the html and added a border, I thought it personally looked better with just plain white.

what I might end up doing is just making a kinda grey pattern background. That might add some touch to the whole website and make it look good ill let you know when I have done this so you can check it out.
