Where do you think they will end up this season?

Do you go to many games at Upton Park, or indeed away games?

From where I sit, West Ham United seem to have consolodated their position in The English Premiership, and on current form, should end their run of being something of a yo-yo team. They have a good set of players, and are capable of producing a result against almost any team.

As for their position, come the end of the season, I think that mid table would suit them, giving a platform from which to build for the following season, when they could make a serious challenge for Europe.

I noted that the other day, a new contract was offered to Teddy Sheringham. Now there is one useful squad player, despite his age!!

Oh yes the Hammers, my favorite team from England. They always impressed me by being a small club with tremendous success against all those giants. For a long time they were always in the top-10, a staple in the Premier League. I was really disappointed when they relegated but they made it back and show that they belong to the top-level.

Never had a chance to visit one of their games so far, but maybe I'm groundhopping one day to Upton Park as well.

Back from the game, not a brilliant performance, but job done. Grit and determination was the name of the game.

The cynics amongst you (Bolton fans) will point to the fact that will still can't beat you over 90 minutes. You really are our bogey team! I don't care about that fact anyway. The only fact I care about tonight is the fact that we are in the quarter finals of the FA cup.

Had some rather disturbing and bad news today at football. I found out I have my Liverpool ticket but wasn't successful in getting one for the last game of the season against spurs.
So if any fellow Hammer fans out there have a spare they would like to sell me ( I am willing to pay a bit extra on top of the face value) then you know where I am.

I suppose that goes to prove that it is not just the supporters of the more fancied teams, i.e Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United and even surprisingly Tattanham Hotspuds, struggle to obtain tickets for essential matches, indeed in my personal case for any Arsenal matches in the slightest.

Perhaps a chance to reflect on the glory days of 1975 and 1980 when The Hammers paraded The FA Cup through the streets of East London, and wonder if this can be once again achieved in the current season....??

I have only the slightest flaw in the plan, in that just for a change only English Premiership teams make the numbers up in the very next round of said cup.

Naturally, as the saying goes, to be the best, one has to beat the best....

Watched the game the other night. Gotta say you's probably did deserve it overall. Both teams were very scrapy. Etherington was brilliant in my opinion. Made some great runs and really troubled Hunt. Again, Harewood was good and Gabbidon played amazing in defense. But my god, i thought Ashton was very very poor! The amount of times he lost possesion was unreal and he was nowhere to be seen have the time. Very poor in my opinion! Also, that Scaloni, perfect replacement for Repka. Neither speak English, both as ugly as hell, and both absolutely useless

All i've left to say is come on Nolan Cant wait to see that man pull on the green shirt of Ireland!! But thats a completely different matter!

I noted with interest, that West Ham fielded something of a scratch team for yesterdays defeat at the hands of an ever improving Portsmouth.

So, Alan Pardew has a very keen eye on The FA Cup, and fair play to him. West Ham United are safe in The Premiership, exceeding most expectations, so why not have the cheek to attempt to bring home some silverware to Upton Park.

Managed to watch the last 35 minutes or so. Started my break as the Man city player got sent off.

Cracking goal from the City player, you don't save those!

Apparently we lost Saturday! Don't really care now.

I want Chelsea in the next round! Am I mad?

I can't really comment on the game until I watch the full ninety minutes. But what I did see was a solid performance.

Changed my mind, After some serious thought, I have decided I want Newcastle in the next round.

That way We will be up against Roeder! The man that given time will take you down to the championship.

Then we will do Liverpool in the final! I can dream can't I?

If the dates are correct for the Semi final games (22-23 April) I am off work that weekend. So I will have to try and get tickets for the Semi. And I know how bloody hard that is.
I am still gutted at not getting a ticket for the last game of the season at home to Spurs! Looks like I am only going to two more games this season (possibly three) Man city at home!! And Liverpool at home.

I'm off work now until Saturday, so bring on the remaining three games whilst I sit back in my armchair and enjoy the television coverage

Actually getting tickets for the semi-final at The Millenium Stadium is the easy bit, believe me. Even though both sets of supporters will only be given an allocation of twentyfour thousand each. I travelled last year with Arsenal, and The FA in their infinite wisdom decided that for the purposes of television rights, that kick -off would be at quarter past midday. Bearing in mind that the majority of Arsenal supporters were travelling from London (and Lincoln in my case) it meant setting off at four in the morning. The bulk of the Blackburn fans were setting off even earlier. Then of course there is the complete bottle neck on the way out of Cardiff and onto the motorway, until the fans switch to different motorways for journeys North and South.

Good luck with obtaining your ticket, but even better luck should you drive over to Wales. One thing I must stress is how well it was organised on the way in, with all motorway boards giving full directions, including which junction to come off at, and even from the junction, foolproof directions to secure car-parks, and free busses to and from The Stadium.

Actually getting to the Millennium stadium is easy for me. My Aunties family live a 10 minute walk from the stadium. So a well timed visit, if needs be. Could well be in order should I descend upon Cardiff a few days early.

Plus I think after 2 consecutive visits (thanks to the playoffs) to Cardiff, I know the way now!!

I will probably book the West Ham train if there is one. It leaves from Ealing Broadway. Which is a 30 minute drive from me.
Should I take that alternative, from past experience it's a cracking laugh with fellow hammer fans and makes the day so much better.
