I would like to start by saying that I have not yet seen the match, but from what I hear the West Ham United fans were all booing Glen Roeder as he entered the sidelines. This shows how passionate football fans can be, with long memories. I was personally glad to see Newcastle United actually win a game down your neck of the woods, as I was expecting to lose by two goals, no matter about a win. I was just wondering if any of you actually went to the game and could possibly fill me in on the match, try to be unbiased if you can. lol. A shame to hear the Shay Given, the Newcastle goalkeeper, was injured after a clash with Marlon Harewood, did anybody see the incident and was it bad?

Firstly Roeder got a few mindless idiots booing him when he first came out. the real booing which led to quite a few west ham fans being restrained and probably arrested by the police for running across the forecourt of the stand to get at Glen Roeder in the dugout was because of the lack of sportsmanship that he showed. Had I been at Upton park today I too would have wanted to smack his face in!
The flashpoint was about eight or so minutes to go and Glen Roeder in all his wisdom decided to run out of his seat in the dugout and run up the touchline with fists clenched and started waving to the Newcastle fans when they were singing '2-0 to the Geordie boys' Might seem perfectly ok to some. But you just don't do those sort of things if you are an opposing manager. An ex west ham manager at that.
He then had to endure chants of 'it's because of you we went down' for the remainder of the game.

I did watch a live stream of the game. admittedly not all of it, I wasn't feeling well. But I did see Tevez almost score a free kick that cannoned of the bar in the first half. He continues to impress me with every game he plays. And he will become a legend for West Ham, however long he stays a West Ham player for. Overall Newcastle deserved the 2-0 win. They were far superior to West Ham. And a little note on the Shay Given injury from an accidental clash with Marlon Harewoods boot. It seems Shay Given had been admitted to a London hospital with stomach pains. Early reports say he collapsed in the dressing room. But it seems those reports are untrue according to a west ham website. The injury itself was accidental. Marlon came sliding in to get the ball as Shay given was collecting it on the ground. And accidentally slid into shays stomach. Hopefully it isn't serious and the hospital stay is precaution only.

Ochy, you guys are on a massive blip at the moment, has Tevez and Mascherano messed up the team spirit ? I think sooooo.

West Ham are a good team, they press well and can be a massive threat.

I think that The District Line joke might be wearing a touch thin now, but all the same, it is a little early in proceedings to be writing the side off as officially dead. Maybe if you are twenty points away from safety with five games to go, but as we are not even one third of the way into the season, firstly safety has to be looked at, after which anything is a bonus. And let us be fair here, there are still the best part of NINETY points still up for grabs yet. All is not lost, so the best thing the supporters can do is be optimistic, but most of all, actually vocally support the team home and away.

Remember the days of terraces, when you went to somewhere like St James Park at Newcastle, and the crowd was virtually a goal headstart. West Ham have a notorious crowd capable of whipping any team up. Sorry heads staring at the ground will not help in the slightest. The team need a friend in the crowd, and a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Best I've seen you play in a long, long time. Totally deserved win and will hopefully give you the confidence to move on now.

Pardew got his tactics spot-on and I was thrilled when he put Marlon and Teddy on with 30 mins to go - great to see he had the confidence in the boys to get a result and it was edge of the seat stuff for the remainder of the game.

Wenger obviously a grade A **** - **** knows what set him off but if it was purely Pards' celebration he wants to take a good look at himself. His team were **** average today and deserved **** all.

Oh and well done Jamie Redknapp for making it clear to the watching public that it wasn't a penalty in the second half as Spector got a touch on the ball. That Gooner **** Alan Smith made a song and dance about it at the time and I had visions of Arsenal being 'robbed' of a penalty taking the gloss off a great performance by the lads.

Anyway, well done.

It was a cracking match and, although I didn't see the last ten minutes, I wasn't surprised that the Hammers won it. Arsenal blew far too many chances and I think West Ham wanted it more and got a deserved victory.

Well there you have it, west ham in a nutshell.

One week play out of there skins and get a result against Arsenal. The next week play rubbish and loose against the boro. I have supported them for too many years to not know that would have happened yesterday. But all the same it's still disappointing.

We are and always have been a club that playing against a top team can raise our game and look superb. But when it comes to a more average team we struggle. I don't know why and I am sure neither do the players.

Anyway heres to not being bottom at christmas! We all know what happens if you are.

Slightly unlucky against CSKA Fulham really. They got away with yet another one nil win, when in all reality, West Ham United deserved at least a share of the spoils.

Such a shame, especially as my beloved Arsenal dropped valuable points at home to Newcastle United. See, it is not just West Ham United that blow hot and cold. We lose to you, then blow Liverpool apart, anly to draw to Newcastle United!

Not always the case. West Bromwich Albion escaped the statistic...... Although I think they are the only ones in the umpteen years gone by.

I missed the whole match Saturday against Chelsea. I am awaiting hopefully, for someone to fill me in on what I missed.

I was treated to the free kick which led to Chelsea's goal, on goals on Sunday. But other then that, I haven't seen anymore off the match.

Well, it seems that no-one has really commented on West Ham recently and to be honest, I thought there might be the odd rant! I can't believe how much things have changed in the post few weeks. I know football's a funny old game but things down at West Ham are far from funny. It's a shame really because I like West Ham and I'd love for them to turn things around but I wonder what others think of the situation.

To be honest with you Magpie I've struggled to find anything worthwhile to say about West Ham. I have thought about coming on here and have a rant and rave about West Ham on endless occasions, but just haven't had the time or inclination to do so Will it make me feel better about West Ham if I do? Will it score West Ham a goal! Actually if that was the case I would be writing every hour!
I really don't know where to start with West Ham, I honestly have no idea what is happening to my team this season? it's a stark contrast from last season when about this time I believe ( I may be wrong) we were in the top six of the Barclays premiership and just about to embark on a FA Cup run which ultimately saw us achieve our First cup final for some 26 years. plus this season a very brief stint in the UEFA cup, but all the same we started this season playing European football.
The vast majority of West Ham fans and football fans alike believe our problems started with the introduction of the two argentinians Carlo Tevez and Javier Mascherano. I disagree. I may be in the minority here, but I believe Carlos Tevez has shown more then enough to show he is an established world class player. Off course it's taken him time to find his feet in the Premiership, but he isn't the first and wont be the last foreign player to struggle to make an impact in his early days in the premiership. I have seen enough in him to see he merits a starting place every game. Ok he might not have scored yet, even though he is supposedly a striker. But how many times has he hit the woodwork!!! if you scored a goal for hitting the woodwork we would win every game 3 or 4 nil. I believe if Carlos Tevez was able to continue plying his trade in the English Premiership until the end of this current season, and if not beyond. We will see a hatful of goals and will instantly forget about his 'settling period'
On the Javier Mascherano front, what can I say? I don't rate this player one bit. I have seen absolutely nothing from him that warrants a starting place in any team, let alone West Ham. It says a lot for a players credentials when a player like Hayden Mullins keeps a supposedly World class player out of your team.

I believe our problems started because of the takeover talk. Players say it doesn't bother them. But it must unsettle the manager Alan Pardew. ultimately this will have a knock on effect down to the players. I thought now that this takeover bid has been completed we might settle down and find our feet like we did so well at last season. If anything we have got worse!

Anyway I really can't write any more at the moment as it's so depressing, I might muster up the energy to rant some more about certain players underachieving this season and why I believe it's time for Alan Pardew to call it a day before he is pushed. But for now this West Ham fan signs of a very unhappy hammer.

I'll be honest, I expected both Tevez and Mascherano to struggle because the English game is so much quicker and more aggressive than they're used to but Tevez has definitely shown more class and adaptability than his countryman. I'm a great believer in giving players time and Newcastle fans have a great deal of experience of foreign players not settling in, of which there are too many to mention here but most recently is Albert Luque who I think really should have been given more of a chance to show what he can do. According to the rumours he'll be offski come January, which I think is a shame.

It's funny really, both West Ham and Newcastle are in very similar situations. Both have takeover rumours, both have underachieving players and both have foreigners trying to settle in. We're coming up to the vital festive period and I for one hope that West Ham can "do a Newcastle" and turn things around.

Well, actually I was quite shocked with this announcement. Yes, Alan Pardew had his critics when he was first employed, but surely he has done enough to silence them. So West Ham United have had a bad start to the season, but then so have Arsenal and Chelsea, and they are far from pushing their Managers out of the door. Tattenham Hotspuds were in the myre, but a recent run of flukes has propelled them up the league. Time is the essence here, and with too many others, The Board have leapt in too quickly. This is the man who gained promotion, The FA Cup Final for the first time since 1980, yet still the same man kicked from the helm for an unlucky set of results, and the signing of two players he had little or no control over.
