I just bought this domain because i've been having my blog for the past year, and the subtitle of the blog is "my web rantings...", so i was bored and i checked for the domain for it, and it was available so i went ahead and got it.
I think the domain is perfect for a blog/web journal type site.
What do you think of it?
www.WebRantings.com
I was a bit worried if it sounded right. To me maybe webranting sounds better, but then again there are more than one rantings on a blog so the plural form is better.
What do you think of it?
I might end up just selling this domain because i really do not need another one, ha i buy domains on compulsions and its sad ha.

You could make something like "MyWebRants" with the current web 2.0 hype. Get something where people can make a profile where they can complain about other websites and make funny signatures, data streams, etc... related to that. Put some advertisements up and you might have a new income source.

Yeah i was thinking about something like that.
I don't know how to code php or anything, but i can do something simliar to what I've done with semi-retarded and use alot of preexisting scrripts and make them appear to work flawlessly together. Might take some time though.
Do you have any idea of some preexisting scripts? I don't want to ever touch the CMS scripts like phpnuke and joomla though.

Hey, why not go with www.webratings.com? I think that a site that analyzed hosts and ISPs would be cool.

1. That name is taken, along with probably every remotely desirable variation of it
2. There are already plenty of sites that do that and are driven by community reviews, it would be hard to compete there
As for the domain name, it's a great find, not often you find two great keywords in a .com name. And I like the plural "rantings" more than the singular version. I think I realise why it sounds wrong and that is the fact that ranting is both a noun and a verb, but either way, I prefer webrantings.

Is it just another blog .. or do you want to do something more creative with it .. that is the question .... I would rather have something more entertaing in nature which would get people back again and again totheir web site and what drwas people there .. hmm if i knew that i would have been in lot of monies .. It has really taken me a lot of years to reckon that people on the net have a very short attention span ansd they are here mostly to " to check their email out " or to "Google " why would any one surf the net for Web Rantings unless you are talking about your interest ..another way of attracting traffic would be to go specialist talk only about a certain nd attack the search engines in such a way to be top in the search results .. hmm SEO is another challenge .. It is for you to choose your course of actiona it is more than just choosing the domain name it is more about content and content rules after all you wouldnt want a site that is for your reading only after all isnt it why you bought the domain name in the first place ....
Just my thoughts
