|
|
I have two domains in my name which I am now looking to offload as I have no need for them (another impulse buy!). I've listed them on Sedo and even paid for one of the domains to be listed as a premium account, sadly that helped in no way. Does anyone know of a good place to sell these? Perhaps a busy domain forum? I've seen a few but most have little or no activity
Anyways the two domains in question are;
http://www.studentmoney.mobi
and
http://www.24music.info
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or if anyone wants to buy them then thats even more appreciated lol _________________ [img:2b23f8c1d9]http://i15.tinypic.com/6fq09pl.jpg[/img:2b23f8c1d9] |

I have not put any of my domains for sale, sorry.
How about building a page on the web and just put your ON SALE ad on it? Maybe that would attract the one who pass by. I have seen a lot such pages.
Sometimes the potential purchasers might type the domain that they want to see if it has been registered before checking on the domain register provider. Once they know that your domain is on sale they would contact you, and it done.
Hope this would help. |

You'll probably have most luck on a big webmaster forum. _________________

| Sad to say, I can't afford a domain myself. Its not a one-time payment kind of thing and you need to pay forever to make that domain last. wonder why people buy domains and then sell them again ? |

You can also post for other peoples opinions for your domain(s) and get them to appraise it. _________________ Tutorial Management Script - Version 1.4 Released

You must be joking, a domain only takes you about $10 a year.
And for your question, it is investment. You can register one domain name for $10 and sell to the one who offers you $100. That is it. |

What I really meant was its not a one-time payment. It may cost $10 a year, but it will cost $500 for 50 years, provided there is no increase in prices over the years. The real cost may be more. However, on second thought, it maybe worthwhile to getting your own domain weighing the advantages along with it.

martinz, money should barely be a issue with domain names. If you must, use www.1and1.com for $6/yr .com domain names.
$500 for 50 years is nothing, why not think of it as 2 cents a day?
Also, it is piss easy to make money from web sites, let alone breaking even on a mere $10. For 2 years, I had an advertiser paying me $20 a month for a text link ad at the bottom, and my site is a neglected, poorly marketed, low traffic site (Hopefully about to change though) |

| Good luck! May I recommend http://ajaxwhois.com or a similar tool to help you as you will be checking domain names over and over until you find something acceptable. Best bet is to get something with 2 or 3 syllables and hope it is brandable, an obvious example being "google". To get an idea of what you have to settle for, the best name I have registered is zivide.com. .net and .org domain names are another option and if you must have a name, I like .ws and rate that similarly to .net |

| Btw, is there any domain names that should be avoided to prevent abuse, how would i know if a particular domain name has experienced attacks frequently in the past and is susceptible to future attacks. |

| You can't really do much about that. I check the Internet archives for history and check what references there are to the site through Google but that is about it. |
