So, since I've been so very busy with school as of late, I haven't had a chance to draw at all (except for a really annoying portfolio,) and I was worried that I would be even cruddier at drawing than before. Rolling Eyes Well, finally, I got a few hours to spare, and I came up with this pencil piece. I don't think that the scan looks nearly as good as the original, but oh well.

Comments or critiques are highly appreciated. I really would like to improve! Very Happy

Clicky (and fullview,) please!

I actually really like it, there's only 1 things I don' t like about it.

The eyes seems really fuzzy/blurred and I think that doesn't really look great.

But really, I like everything else, all shadows etc. seems so realistic.

Good job Wink

i think it looks good, but i agree with spock about the eyes, but that could just be from it being scanned like you said

Yes, you barely show your face around here anymore, as well I get next to no deviantART alerts from you to see new things Silly.

Anyways, the peice... I don't have much to say about it other than what everybody has mentioned about the eyes. Good work like usual though.

Wow, that's really good. I guess I really do suck at drawing, lol.

Um, the little knob thing on top of the unbrella isn't right. Well, maybe I'm just retarded and the fact that it's 1:30am here is getting to me or something, but it looks as though you're looking at it from above, which would mean that the top of the umbrella is facing you a ltitle bit or something. However, because of the way she is holding the umbrella and the fact that some of the inside of the umbrella is shown, the top of the umbrella should actually be facing away from you a little bit.

So um, yea, here's my imput Laughing Maybe I'm wrong though, but whatever. I think the picture pwns my pencil drawings, lol.

I'm back, for the moment, sorry about the slow reply guys, your comments are really appreciated!

spock: Thank you! And the eyes are fuzzy because the scanner made them look uneven somehow, so I needed to blend them in Photoshop.

Ayana: Thanks! ^_^

DAaron: Thanks a lot, the concept is kinda odd though, I agree.

drath: Hehe, well, I'm sort of back for now, and I've finally got more time to draw, (so hopefully I'll finish something new soon.) Silly Thanks!

Brute: I can sort of see what you mean, about the top of the umbrella in relation to the way he is holding it, (the angle is slightly off, I think,) but it was meant to be in the shape of a raindrop, so I'm still not sure. Thank you. ^_^

Thanks for all the critiques, they always get me inspecting the details in my pictures for faults, (which is a very good thing!) My next goal is to learn how to -nicely- scan pencil pieces. Silly
