It's a prequel to the X-Men movie series, which focuses on Wolverine's past in the Weapon X program. Hugh Jackman plays Wolverine again, while no other returning X-Men cast members are part of the movie (for right now at least).
The movie also features Sabretooth, Deadpool, Gambit, among others from the X-Men and Wolverine comic universe.
I've been a Wolverine fan for a while now (a long time before the movies came out), so this a must-see for me. Is anyone else excited about this? It's release date isn't until May 1, 2009 though. |

I'd be very happy to see this, although I've not seen X Men three yet for some reason.
I think Hugh does a really good job of Wolverine, and a prequel based on him should be very good.
Obviously, if this goes well, they may consider a prequel to other characters as well, but I think Wolverine has the most potential, based on the movie protrayals only.
I wonder if they will bookend this with the start of X-Men 1, or leave space to fit another prequel in, or just jump from the prequel and do the next wolverine movie (which there surely will be if it sells well) set after X-Men 3? _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

| Now that I'd watch. I had a crush on Wolverine back in the day. He always was my favourite character in the comics. (Not so fussed with the movies.) |

I'll probably go and watch the movie, because I really enjoyed the previous X-men movies. I'm hoping that this will be one of the last X-men movies though, if they keep making sequels/prequels the series will get boring and probably the quality of the movies will go down too. _________________ .// Proud to be Lifeless for more then 4 years \\. |

The previous X Men films were pretty good although i have yet to see the third one, still. When this comes out I'll probably go straight to the theatres and watch it. If its really good, (like Dark Knight good) which is not likely i'll probably watch it 3 times or so, or more.
But ya if it isn't good, which will be incredibly sad, I'll just write it off as being a new film to milk the X-Men franchise. Hopefully, that won't occur. |

hopefully Hugh Jackman has enough integrity to walk away if it is poor quality - but since the previous three were high grossing films, with good production, there's no reason this one won't have high production as well.
It's only the story line that will make or break it, and if Josh Whedon is involved in any way like with X Men 1, then it will be gold _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

True true, that is reason enough for the success of this film. If even Joss Whedon so much as touches this film, I am sure it will go down alongside the other X-Men series films as another great film.
It would be good if Jackman had enough sense to leave if the film does indeed fail. Hopefully, he won't just be in there because the fact its X-Men and thinks he can milk it for more money, w/o a good performance. However, he will most likely give us that good performance. Mmm still can't wait for this one to come out. |

no doubt about it hitting the block busters. theres no reson not to believe that the production would put more effort to its effects, story lines, and the hand-to-hand combat.
one thing good about wolverine, or why of all characters they choose wolverine... could be the that hugh jackman did it well in previous x-men movies. plus the factor that regeneration is one hell of an ability. scratches, stabs, claw fights, well that would be worth waiting for.
wolverine fighting sabertooth would be a battle between brute force and wits. i just hope they do not put in too much acrobats in it... hahaha. that would be dumb. _________________ Im just a "Fresh-Starter"... You don't need to be harsh on me, really... and I got no religion |
